Justice For All

I am very passionate about LGBT rights. A couple of years ago, I decided to get more involved in the movement by volunteering with Equality Illinois. On Saturday night, Adam and I got dressed up and volunteered at Equality Illinois's annual gala.

We did our duty monitoring the silent auction, and once we were done, we got to stick around and enjoy the party (and open bar!). If you're looking for an epic dance party, go to a LGBT gala because the gays love to dance. The coolest part of the evening was when we met Mayor Rahm Emanuel. I wish we would've taken a photo with him, but he was a tad busy. Overall, it was a great opportunity to give back and have some fun. I can't wait to do it again next year!
